Description
Hosokawa Bepex Bexmill BM 150 conical screening mill, serial no. 11 195, built in 2003 in Leingarten, Germany. The nameplate, the original operating and maintenance manual and the manufacturer's declaration all carry the same machine number, so the documentation belongs to this machine and not to the model in general.
Screen basket 150 mm nominal diameter with a two-arm rotator, D max 140 mm; the basket currently fitted has 0.5 mm perforation. Inlet 253 mm diameter at 1110 mm working height, outlet 150 mm. Drive is a 1.5 kW three-phase motor in explosion-protected design (IP 55, EEx de IIC T4) on a 1:1 toothed belt. Speed is set and displayed from a frequency converter, giving a rotator speed of 478 to 1686 rpm across 17 to 60 Hz — the converter is not shown in the current photographs.
The rotor bearing runs a scavenging-gas labyrinth seal, monitored by a flow meter and a pressure switch, so product cannot reach the bearing unnoticed: connection about 2 bar, gas pressure 200–300 mbar, throughput 0.5–0.6 m³/h. Stainless steel construction, cleanable with hot water and detergent; the bearings carry a lifetime grease filling.
The mill stands on a mobile stainless steel frame with lockable castors, with an inlet hopper and a Müller butterfly valve above the mill inlet and the operating panel on the frame. Machine dimensions per the factory data: 1200 × 780 × 1110 mm, approximately 205 kg. Supplied with the operating and maintenance manual including the spare parts list with the factory drawing numbers. The mill is supplied with one screen basket and one rotator — the 0.5 mm basket currently fitted; further baskets and rotators are not included.
The original manufacturer's declaration is the one issued for an incomplete machine under the machinery directive in force in 2003 — the mill is built to be incorporated into a plant, and the buyer's own conformity assessment applies to the installation it goes into. Available for inspection by appointment, sold ex works in the condition inspected.
