Normag TFE 0.5 m² thin-film evaporator unit, new and unused

Description

Normag thin-film evaporator unit TFE 0.5 m², built in 2006 and never installed: the unit is new and unused, in its original factory packaging. It is a complete plant on one frame for concentrating solutions and recovering solvents under vacuum in batch operation.

The core is a DN 200 wiped-film evaporator in stainless steel 1.4301 with 0.5 m² of heated surface and a top-driven roller wiper system in 1.4301 and PTFE, adjustable up to approximately 200 rpm. The evaporator jacket is heated by a Single hot-water thermostat. The vapour is condensed in a 2.5 m² condenser in borosilicate glass 3.3, followed by a glass cold trap.

The feed is drawn from a 200-litre stainless-steel feed vessel by an Alldos diaphragm dosing pump and distributed over the top of the evaporator. Concentrate and distillate are collected separately in two horizontal 100-litre stainless-steel receivers. The vessels are designed for −1 / +0.5 barg. Level switches stop the feed pump automatically when a receiver is full or the feed vessel is empty. The unit can be cleaned in place with standard CIP media.

The vacuum is generated by a Vacuubrand system: an MD 4C three-stage chemistry diaphragm pump (3.0 m³/h, 2 mbar ultimate vacuum), a CVC 2 vacuum controller and a VV 6C solenoid valve. It is part of the package.

Overall dimensions 2500 × 1160 × 2950 mm (W × D × H), weight approx. 1800 kg, 230/400 V, 50 Hz, 45 kW connected load.
